In advance of my Happy Hour with Golf Digest last Tuesday, I compiled some college golf data. I took a sample of adjusted scoring averages for players in all divisions on March 11-12, 2024.
I spoke with Clippd and emailed with Mark Broadie to confirm that my information was accurate.
This information is accessible via the Clippd College Golf Rankings. My goal with this data was:
Provide an idea of what college players are shooting across NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA.
Give junior golfers where they should be targeting based on their junior golf scoring averages.
Share roster sizes and how adjusted scoring averages look across the top-8 players so that juniors can see where they would stack up within different programs.
Interestingly, I did a similar project during Covid when we were all stuck at home and had a lot of time on our hands. If you’re interested in looking at those numbers, click here. Spoiler: scores have gone down in four years.
